Many people are yet to believe that the son of billionaire business
mogul; David Adeleke popularly known as Davido was the brain behind the
wave-making video 'ILE IJO' of estranged music partner of Square
Records, MayD that led to his departure from ‘Square Villa’, owned by
award-winning twin singers called P-Square and their elder brother Jude
Okoye otherwise known as ‘Enges’.
Davido was the one who financed the video production and he has also been the link to May D’s breakup with Square Records.
According
to information at our disposal, Davido was a jolly friend of ‘May D’
and who his financially buoyant to shoot musical video for his friend
despite that he was signed under a recording company, the Square
Records. Although the two young singers have been doing things together
for a while, Davido's interest was to get May D signed under his owned
recording company HNK Records and he has been making all efforts to
convince him with every opportunity after his debut single 'Sound Track'
under Square Records.
Sources also disclosed that after the
release of his three singles with the recording company, May D has been
helpless and anxious to get all the promises the recording company made
to provide for him such as a well-furnished apartment, car, money and
other items under the terms of the agreement. Some believe that May D
was rather impatient to settle his differences with the chairman of
Square Villa, Jude Okoye over the issue of Ile Ijo video sponsored by
Davido and ofcourse the lies fabricated that he had been dismissed from
the Square Villa.
Another source close to P-Square disclosed that
‘May D wanted to move ahead with his life and career despite that
Square Records was a big name and wealthy recording company in Nigeria's
entertainment industry, but many people don’t know financial status of
the singer May D.
Despite that as an artiste under the label he
was given all access into the Square Villa and autos, he does not see
himself remaining for so long at the mercy of P-Square and their
brother.
May D still stays in his family house in Magodo; most
times Davido and other of his friends come around to pick him out for a
party and this has been a major concern for him. The controversial
video, Ile Ijo, has been at the top of most music chats in the country
and enjoying massive airplay. It was directed by leading
cinematographer; Clearance Peters and spiced up with a brilliant
performance from award-winning ‘Kaffy The Dancer’ and other appearances
from May D and Davido’s friend; while none of the Square Records members
made appearance for the video.
May D already has his own record
label called Confam Entertainment. When asked if he has any other
artiste signed on the record label, the singer said “It’s just me for
now, I have some girl from UK but I’m still watching”

Kayode Salako, Others Condemn The Killing Of UniPort Students...Lampoon Government
The gruesome killing of four UniPort students alleged to have stolen a
phone in Aluu has become the topic of discussion amongst every concerned
citizen in this country. The student, two cousins and other two were beaten to stupor and later set ablaze.
While their families have been thrown into perpetual morning since yesterday that the incident happened, Kayode Salako and other Nigerians too have termed the act to be barbaric and inhumanity to human.
" I'm deeply disturbed! The other day Cynthia was killed and people said foolish things like "yes,it serves her right, how could she go to meet men she never knew?" So does that justify her ruthless killing?
Few days ago, 4 UniPort students alleged of stealing, were killed gruesomely like they were never humans because of some unproved allegations. How! How did we become like this? Then they were set ablaze after the torture. Just as they said in Cynthia's case, " it serves them right!". To the people applauding this uncivilized and barbaric act: Did you see them steal the phones or do you know anyone they robbed, Were these boys caught with weapons or harming anybody?
These boys may have just been victims of bias and miscalculated or misinterpreted perceptions. I am truly disturbed. We just killed 4 potential future leaders like that, while the real thieves (the economic saboteurs, the enemies of Nigerians) walk the corridors of power with impunity, flexing their lean muscles over our frustration.
Where is Farouk Lawal and co.? Where are the nation's oil thieves? Where is Bode George and the many political armed 'robbers'? Where is Lucky Igbinedion? Where are all these people? Do they have tyres around their necks by now?! I am truly disturbed and my heart bleeds.
The most painful aspect of all these barbaric tendencies is that today, you see worship centers on every street in Nigeria-Churches,mosques,shrines everywhere, yet wickedness ravages the land. Where are the items these boys stole? Who are the victims?
We call on the IGP and the President of Nigeria to avenge for the souls of these young Nigerians, who were brutally murdered, to prove to Nigerians that our country is not a JUNGLE as some of us have grown up to believe. No wonder the bible says ' the heart of man is desperately and terribly wicked! What type of a country is this?!
God help Nigeria, God help our youths!" Said by Kayode Salako, President CANN and Fasholamanian.
CELEBRITY QUOTE: If they like they should call it bleaching or washing----Rukky Sanda
I’m light o, and I’m going to do everything I have to maintain my
complexion. If they like they should call it bleaching or washing,
whatever they want to call it. Me and my cream, we are best buddies.
Whatever they want to say, they should continue. Me I am making money.
When nobody is talking about you, then you are not doing something
right. In Nigeria, they don’t even know what a face lift is. It is when your skin starts to sag, they lift it up around your temples and cut the excess one off. How old am I that I would need a face lift? Someone said I had a lipo and dermabrasion. OK, I’ve done everything, I’ve even done the one they’ve not yet said.

I'm Engaged But Still Searching- Nollywood/Model, Princess Chineke
Nollywood actress and super model, Princess Chineke, product of New York
Film Academy, who has featured in many movies and soap operas such as
Ladies Cult, Tarima, Papa Ajasco, Bola’s Place, Echoes, Heroes and
Zeroes, Rebound (shot in USA), Cut in the Middle,Where the Heart Lies, Courtesy of Vengeance, and Prize of Stardom has announced that she can still go with any man that catches her fancy even as she is engaged.
"A man should guide you in achieving your dream. I met a guy sometimes ago who insisted I leave the movie industry and work in the bank. It is selfish. Does he know if it is what I wanted to do? I see it as a prison. The woman too should be able to bring out the best in her man.
My ideal man I’m not sure I’ve met my ideal man. You might think you have seen him and he changes. People change. Even the woman can change. I am still scrutinizing. Even if I’m engaged, as long as I’m not married, I’m still searching. I am not really a feminist. But I have a strong passion for the feminine gender." These were her words.

SECRET REASONS SOCIETY LADIES DATE FOREIGN BASED GUYS
Have you noticed that so many of our female celebrities, especially the
actresses in both the English and Yoruba speaking version of Nollywood
don’t only go to shop for their clothes, travel for vacation or go to
shoot movies abroad, they also prefer lovers who are based abroad.
Every now and then, slang like “her American based boyfriend or her London based lover” has become a common norm for pen pushers.
The question now is, why are they neglecting our handsome men who live here in Nigeria to fall in the arms of those abroad, is it that men who live in Nigeria are ugly or there is no responsible one’s around?
After a research was conducted on this, we were able to gather the real reasons many celebs prefer Nigerian men who are based abroad to our eligible bachelors based in the country.
FREEDOM- Because of the nature of the job, some Nigerian actresses prefer to settle for Nigerian men based abroad. Of course he won’t always be around to monitor her whereabouts; she won’t have to neglect her job and location to run home to tend to her family.
As the jobs demands, she can travel for days or weeks and for a lady who is so used to flirting around, she would have all the whole time and freedom in the world to do that.
• COMFORT- In today’s world, every lady wants to be comfortable, being a celebrity, you are expected to drive the best cars, wear expensive clothes and jewelries and be very comfortable but most celebrities can’t live solely on what they earn, they need someone to spice up their bank accounts and most Nigerian guys based abroad are ready to flaunt all the cash without blinking an eyelid. It’s showbiz so they have got to ‘SHOW’.
• LOVE- Some of the celebrities fall in love, not for his money or other benefits; they are only interested in settling down with a foreign based guy.
• SECURITY- As we all know, if anyone gets married to a legal citizen in UK or US, automatically, she become a citizen too, that’s of course a plus for her, she can go in and out of the country as she wishes.
• WIND OF SEASON- That’s the current trend now, so many single celebs follow the trend since there are so many benefits in it!
• THEY ARE MORE ROMANTIC- It is believed that most Nigerian men are not romantic enough, thus, they prefer Nigerian based abroad or even foreigners so as to have an original experience of the romantic movies they act!
• STATUS QUO- Some ladies naturally love men who are based abroad, they get excited and feel cool that they are dating a foreign based guy; just the status alone makes them feel like they are on top of the world.
• NO FAMILY PRESSURE- Most Nigerian guys based abroad fancy female celebrities, and our celebs fancy them too because they won’t have so much pressure from family and friends who may go against their getting engaged with a celebrity who is believed to have lived a wayward life in the course of their job.
• COVER UP- Some celebs who don’t really have a serious relationship with anyone tell those who care to listen that they are engaged with a foreign lover when they are being pressurized by people, especially the press. That serves as a good cover up to save them the embarrassment.

STUNNING! GHANA WOMEN ARE THE WORLD’S ‘MOST UNFAITHFUL’ – SURVEY REVEALS
In fourth and fifth place were Russia (33 per cent) and Singapore (19 per cent) respectively, Star Online reported. Among couples cheating on each other, Malaysia trailed behind South Korea and chart-topper Thailand.
The same survey placed men from Singapore and Hong Kong as being the most promiscuous in Asia, with an average of 16 bed partners in their lifetime.
How do Ghanaians feel about this revelation?
We asked a number of them in the Tri-State area and the general verdict was that of shock and consternation. “That is a preposterous conclusion. What were the yardsticks they used in conducting their poll? How many women did they talk to and what scientific methods did they employ to arrive at such a sweeping verdict? While not completely absolving our women from indulging in certain shenanigans, I would say we, Ghana women are not the most notorious in that regard. I have friends from other ethnicities who are married, and at the same time keep multiple lovers, and I, happily married to my husband for ten years now, have only strayed once, and why I did that was because we were having problems that appeared intractable at the time. Since my husband and I got back together, I have never cheated on him and don’t intend to.” Linda, who asked that I keep her last name out of print, had told me.
To Kwesi–a business owner in Hartford, Connecticut, such definition serves the women right “It has been a known fact within our community and even in our native country that our women have not been faithful to their husbands. Here in the Diaspora, you can’t tell your wife to keep away from certain associations, she will lash out at you, and tell you to mind your business that she is an adult, and knows how to take care of herself- including knowing when to say no to an amorous overtures. It is so depressing to so defined, I hope they will take or two things from this survey and give respect to their marital status.”
“I think the poll is spot-on” a lady who had pleaded to remain anonymous had told me. “I am not proud to say it; a lot of our married women sleep around. At least among my circle of friends- we have at one point or the other maintained other relationships. Sometimes, the driving impulse may not even be for material gains, but for the thrill of it. But we are not different from other Africans. I know some Nigerian friends of mine, who are married too, but have lovers outside. I think our men should find the revelation a means to challenge themselves and ask what it is they are doing that is not right. I don’t think a woman will willingly go out there to cheat on her husband if the ‘game’ is tight at home, if you know what I mean”
What do you readers think? We will like to have your reactions.

partners. The top two countries are Ghana at 62 percent and Thailand at
59 percent.

Nollywood Actress, Tonto Dike Displays Her Stupidity On Twitter.
The 'I Go Sing By Force Actress', Tonto Dike had it rough with her friends and fans on twitter yesterday morning when she declared her intention to wax an album.
The sexy but highly controversial actress who was alleged to have slept with Sifax boss, Taiwo Afolabi for N5m got into a twitter fight with several fans/Tweeps over something termed ‘Childish’
we gathered this information from one of her fans on twitter "Tonto declared on twitter that she wanted to go into music and some of her fans and followers questioned her ability to sing judging from the previous ‘Nollywood Music escapades’ of Omotola, Geneveive & Jim Iyke.. Many even critised her song which was released earlier featuring ‘KAS’..
Arrgghh!! This sparked rage from Tonto Dike and her camp as they went all out to ‘Yab’ all the tweeps that criticised her using all sorts of words which a celebrity shouldn’t be using on Social Media..
It should never get this serious.. For Christ sake, when will some Nigerian celebrities learn that they are source of inspiration to the younger generation? Thus they should comport themselves in a manner that suites their status."
Another source said that, "Imagine A ‘Top Class’ Nollywood Screen Diva using F-Words on her fans and even haters.. She was even insulting people about being poor and wretched.. I don’t know much about her history but please Is Tonto Dike another ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ ?
Its just not right.. Am not taking sides here but I believe she really needs to grow up #POKO. She types like a five year old girl, it's really a shameful act."
That's all for now, over to you amiable readers!

D’BANJ REVEALS HIS BACHELOR'S SECRET
That Koko Master loves to spring up surprises is well known to his
followers and fans, in fact, his has become a master of that game. Our own very Mr. Endowed is seriously coming up with something hot with his musical video director, Sesan Ogunro. The two personalities were sighted in Atlanta recently at the location of the video shoot, ‘Bachelor’ D’banj’s latest work.
Let’s watch out for this video as it tells a story of his bachelorhood. The shooting started with a story of D’banj’s ‘girlfriend’ storming out of his house for no particular reason but instead of him feeling downcast, he calls a truck load of girls to come party with him…sounds interesting!
Let’s keep our fingers crossed!
Most of my people in Ghana are kiss-ass artistes – Yvonne Nelson
She cut her teeth recently as a movie producer but Yvonne Nelson does
not think that the Ghanaian movie industry has been too fair to her.
With seven years as an actress on the tow, Nelson takes OVWE MEDEME
through the dark days of controversy to being the highest paid actress
in Ghana. She talks movies, career, fashion and relationships in this
interview.
Is Single and Married your first production?
No, this is my second outing as a producer. The first one is not out yet. I produced that last year with Majid Michel. We haven’t premiered that yet. We decided to premiere Single and Married first. My first production is titled The Price.
What stands Single and Married out from other movies?
The cast was different and the locations were amazing. As for the storyline, we have seen a few things like that before but I decided to spice things up by bringing in new faces, musicians and TV presenters. I discovered a young actor, Kweku Elliot, who we featured in the flick. I just wanted to do something different. People are tired of seeing the same faces so I wanted to change that a little bit. The premiere in Ghana was amazing.
What message are you trying to pass with the movie?
Basically, people just have to know who they want to get married to before they tie the knot. We should know our partner very well before we enter into a relationship because we might get married and then realize that we don’t have anything in common. Marriage is a long term affair. There are a number of lessons to be learned. You don’t want to have any surprises in your marriage.
For a movie that is multi-themed, which of the themes relates directly to you?
I am not single and I am not married so I don’t fall anywhere. I am in a relationship. I have not had any experience that relates directly to the movie. I didn’t write the script and it was Pascal Amanfo who directed it.
What endeared you to the script?
I did not give the scriptwriter the story. He did everything himself and I paid for it. We talked about a fun story and we discussed about something everyone can relate to. There are single people everywhere and there are married people everywhere. People are having issues with their marriages. When I read the script, I loved it and I decided to go ahead with it. Nothing drew me to it. I have worked with Pascal so many times and I know what he is capable of doing. I knew he was going to give me a good script.
Currently you are rated as the highest paid actress in Ghana. Do you agree with that rating?
Why won’t I agree with that? I have paid my dues; I have been working really hard. I would say that I have been the busiest actress this year. That is what God has done.
At some point in your career was filled with controversy. What led to your ban from the Ghanaian movie industry?
What my people or Africa do not like is when a woman is not happy with something and she voices it out. I have produced movies and I know how to treat people on set. The problem whoever had with me has to do with the fact that they don’t treat us well on set and when I voiced out, they start saying that I am rude or arrogant. They don’t want to feel we know our rights. I shot Single and Married with Chris Attoh and Nadia Buari and everything went fine. In nine days we were done. If you are working with your human resources and you treat them very well, nobody will have a problem.
How did you survive that dark era?
I am the strongest girl I know. When it happened, I was still shooting anyway. Nobody could stop me from shooting. They were just saying it because they thought they could say it but I was still working. Then, I opened a shop and I was travelling here and there. I wasn’t just sitting at home doing nothing. I learnt so much from that period. I learnt that the industry can be very harsh sometimes. I don’t think the industry has been too fair but now, see what God is doing.
Now that you are on the rosy side of the industry, are you taking any steps to ensuring that things remain the way they are?
Nothing happened in the past. Like I said on Peace FM recently, everybody talks about discipline but then some producers always try to take advantage of artistes. Most of my people in Ghana are kiss-ass artistes. They can’t voice out because they know producers might not call them for jobs again. They just sit down and take anything that comes their way. They just have to treat us right and they would not have problems with anybody. I have shot two movies and I am not even a major producer. I am an actress trying to do this but I do know that if we treat people right, everybody goes away with a happy face. Don’t take advantage of the people you work with.
Ghanaian movies are known to be on the explicit side. How well would you say you fit into the industry?
I am in the Ghanaian movie industry; I am a part of it. If I get script and it is good, I will take it. I don’t think I have done a movie where anyone can say they found Yvonne nelson naked. We do scenes and we do them well.
For the right price, would you act nude?
I certainly would not. I would have done it long ago if I would.
How true is it that you are romantically linked to Nigeria’s Iyanya?
I am like Iyanya’s biggest fan. I love his music. I have his music on my iPod, iPad, Blackberry and iPhone. We are just good. He is a very special person to me.
How would you define special?
He is just a special guy.
So he’s not the one you are dating?
I will not say anything on that because I don’t say much about who I am dating or who I am not dating. I have even said a lot right now. I am in a relationship. I am happy and that is all I can say.
How soon do you hope to tie the knot?
For now I am happy and I am committed so let’s see how it goes.
How much interference does your relationship have on your career?
None at all. Whoever I am in a relationship with should know that I am an actress before we started dating.
So you were an actress before you started dating him?
Of course. I would have married this guy long ago if the relationship was that old because it has been seven years.
How has the seven years been like?
It has been wonderful. I have learnt so much. It has been a learning process for me. I am like one of the youngest actresses in Ghana and I thank God for how far he has brought me.
Aside acting, what else are you into?
I have a shop I set up. It was actually inspired by my fans. Anywhere I go, they always tell me they like me shoes, my belt and all that so I decided to put something together for people who love my fashion sense and style. I also run the Yvonne Nelson Glaucoma Foundation.
What inspired you to set up the foundation?
It was inspired by the fact that my grandmother had glaucoma and she ended up going blind. Glaucoma is hereditary. It runs through families. If someone has it, there is a chance that a family member might also pick it up as they age. I decided to set this foundation up to create awareness about the ailment. In 2010, I shot a video with Sarkodie and other stars to create awareness. I don’t own a hospital but all we are asking is for people to go to the hospital to screen their eyes and know that statuses. It doesn’t give signs that someone has it.
These days, actors and actresses are venturing into music and vice versa. Are you considering anything like that?
For now, I am not. I am ok with just being an actress.

Without D'Banj, I Would Have Been A Waste, He Made Me-- Don Jazzy
The name Don Jazzy today surely commands some respect in the Nigerian
showbiz world. A decade ago, when such name is mentioned, questions
would arise about who and what does the name mean.
Like that tiny tear in a cloth that was never quickly stitched, Don Jazzy expanded and took many by storm in the entertainment industry to the extent that there is nothing anyone can do about him anymore. To some industry icons he used to see as 'big thing' in the game, this multiple award-winning producer has surpassed them.
Not wanting the Yoruba proverbial saying that 'the river that forgets its source would get dried up', Don Jazzy went online to give honour to those due, especially those who have influenced his booming career.
After paying his first respect to 2Face, he stated about JJC when he posted, "Kudos to JJC for without him, I would still be doing 'tungba' (local) music. [I am] not saying that it (tungba music) is not good. But I found out I was better doing something else."
Turning to D'Banj, Don Jazzy has this to say, "KUDOS to my bro, D'Banj for without him, my production skills I gathered from JJC might have been a waste. Dude made me Don Jazzy."
He went ahead to honour Wande Coal, D'Prince and others including his Federal Government College, Ijanikin, Lagos pals.

Rihanna and Chris Brown Share a Kiss at the VMAs
Wait, what?!
Was it just a simple greeting? Was it more? Does it matter? Rihanna and Chris Brown were spotted exchanging a, um, warm embrace that brought up many questions, which were followed by head-shaking and sighs.
So what the h-e-double hockey sticks is going on here?

At some point during tonight's MTV Video Music Awards, Ri-Ri was caught giving Breezy a kiss while passing through the crowd. And granted, this photo doesn't exactly tell whether it was a friendly peck on the cheek or a slightly-more-than-friendly peck on the lips, but regardless, the shock value is still the same.
Rihanna has openly said (to Oprah Winfrey, nonetheless) that she and Brown have rebuilt their friendship and that she still loves him, not to mention also acknowledging that Chris is in a relationship.
So clearly this was just a friendly exchange and nothing more. Right?

Chris Brown Defends His Non-Rihanna Neck Tattoo: "I'm an Artist and This Is Art"
Chris Brown's new neck tattoo is causing a lot of controversy.
Some say his new ink resembles a bruised and beaten Rihanna (Brown's rep told E! News this is not the case). But if you ask Brown, this permanent new marking is art.
Some say his new ink resembles a bruised and beaten Rihanna (Brown's rep told E! News this is not the case). But if you ask Brown, this permanent new marking is art.
"I'm an artist and this is art. Dia de los Muertos," he tweeted Tuesday.
Chris Brown inspirts new neck-tattoo meme
Indeed, Brown's publicist
told E! News the tattoo "is a sugar skull (associated with the Mexican
celebration of the Day of the Dead) and a MAC cosmetics design he saw."
Tattoo
artist Peter Koskela backed this up, telling E! News Brown's ink is "a
sugar skull based on the MAC design that Chris brought me."
Fair enough. Funnily enough, just an hour after Brown defended his tattoo, he tweeted that his aptly titled "Don't Judge Me" video will be released soon.
